Making our school more inviting to our parents and community, DEN is implementing their PARENT INVOLVEMENT POLICY to reach parents through NEWSLETTERS, ALERTNOW phone system, parent/teacher conferences, parenting classes, School Improvement Committee, PTO, Family Night activities and Principal’s Advisory Council. We are helping people learn to use the school's website. Teachers email families to help with more engagement. Time is set aside for teachers to make phone calls to homes in order to engage more families. Teachers are posting on the school website lesson plans, spelling list, projects and homework to increase the two-way communication. With our ENCC grant we recognize the classroom with highest attendance rate, each student and their parent receive a school t-shirt each quarter.
