Communication
North Valleys High School in conjunction with our six elementary and two middle schools hosted an Information Faire:  Graduation Begins in Kindergarten.  Parents were able to visit over 30 booths and choose from 12 workshops designed to support parents as they help their child transition from kindergarten to college.  In addition, WCSD Health Services provided free immunizations for sixth grade students.
The Panther Parent Center (PPC) continued to be an important resource for our parents, providing a “parent to parent” contact to help parents successfully navigate high school.  Parent access to the PPC increased significantly in the third year.

Janie Balfour, Parent Involvement Facilitator and Bilingual Clerk, Sandra Clifton partnered with the Family Resource Center to host a Latino Round Table to help families connect with school resources and community agencies.
The NVHS Counseling faculty published the Counseling Chronicle as a resource to parents to connect them to their child’s school experience.
Open House, 8th Grade Parent Night, Academic Contracts and Edline continued as forums to communicate with parents regarding NVHS academic support programs and student progress.
