SSHS continues to be strongly committed to planning, implementing, and encouraging meaningful communication and interaction with our parents, families, and community. We believe that our parents, staff, and the community are Partners in Education.We continue to encourage and invite our parents, families, and community to participate in our academic, athletic, and activity programs.
- A newsletter is published quarterly providing news, student and school achievements, upcoming events, and academic and extra-curricular information.
- Infinite Campus is used for communicating with parents on students’ academic and attendance progress.
- Special mailings are sent to parents providing information on special events, awards programs, and parent nights.
- Connect Ed is used to communicate with parents on high priority and special notice messages such as upcoming events, emergency information, delayed start days, testing schedules, busing schedules, etc.
- Parent meetings are held throughout the year including Freshman Orientation, Open House, Junior/Senior Parent Night, Financial Aid and Scholarship Night, Grade Level Nights, Booster (Band, Academic, and Athletic) Meetings, and Honors/Advanced Placement Parent Night.
