Washoe High School is committed to strategic and meaningful communication with the parents and families of our community. This communication takes place in a variety of ways.
- Meetings with families concerning graduation and credit attainment by counselors and administration.
- Identifying and meeting family basic needs when they arise such as food, transportation and guidance.
- Teacher and counselor contacts to parents/guardians regarding progress of their students.
- Regular use of Connect Ed to let parents know important dates and events.
- Spanish speaking staff and interpreters are present every day to support parents that don't speak Spanish.
- Teen Parenting communication and support for both teen mother and family through workshops and contact.
