Sparks High School highly values parental involvement and recognizes the importance of the school-family partnership as a means of raising student academic achievement. Sparks High continues to maintain effective lines of communication between school and home via emails, Connect Ed, IC, and monthly parent newsletters in both English and Spanish. Several monthly parent involvement activities were held this school year to promote greater parent involvement: Back-to-School Family Open House Night; Night of All Nations; Parent Visit Day; Parent Technology Night; Weekly Parent Education Nights; Lip Sync, AP Night; FAFSA Nights; Incoming Freshman Open House Night; HSPE Education Night; and Operation Graduation Night for senior parents. Co-curricular programs including the arts, clubs, and athletics also host parent events throughout the school year. Sparks High School enjoys a strong partnership with its Booster Club and its Partners in Education, John Asquaga’s Nugget, the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino and Bank of America that support students in the arts, athletics, and academics.
