Through our 21st Century Grant, we have been able to put on many "family days" on weekends, bringing hundreds of parents and families into our school for fun activities as well as information and support regarding the progress of their students. Parent teacher conferences are ongoing throughout the school year, addressing concerns that parents, teachers, or students may have. Our Parent Involvement Facilitator has been a valuable support for our Spanish speaking parents and guardians, making phone calls to all families on students who received failing grades, relaying to them the various support options we offer and answering any questions they had. We also implemented "2nd Cup of Coffee" every Tuesday, inviting parents in to the school to log on to Infiinite Campus Parent Portal. Other events yielding parent attendance are 8th grade awards night, Open House, B.E.S.T bbq, Music Concerts, Tri-M & UNR Silver Scholars Awards. Various community involvement has included Kiwanis Club, Microsoft Entreprenuer's Club, Career Day speakers, & Sparks Chamber of Commerce.
