At Bud Beasley School, frequent and meaningful communication is crucial to the success of establishing a positive home/school partnership. At the beginning of the school year, a school calendar is distributed to all students that contains important events/dates, as well as school and district policies. A school newsletter goes home on a monthly basis with pertinent information from each grade level and upcoming activities. The Connect-Ed system is utilized to inform/remind families of monthly activities and any changes to the daily schedule. The school marquee informs families of important current information. The administration at Beasley has implemented an open door policy for all stakeholders that allows for matters to be addressed in a timely manner. Teachers communicate with parents via class newsletters, e-mail, class websites, phone calls, and home notes. Our PTA meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month. We collaborate on matters such as fundraisers, assisting with students' needs, and planning for upcoming family events.
