Parent and community involvement continues to be an important part of our culture at Moss. Parents receive a variety of information through many sources, including our new Moss Website available through the WCSD "Schools" portal. Parents have the ability to email our teachers through the website or contact them directly. We also communicate with parents through Connect Ed messages, classroom newsletters, "Purple Folder" messages and fliers, Infinite Campus, and through messages posted on the marquis in front of our school.
This year we held our Third Annual Fall Festival which was a tremendous success. In conjunction with our PTA, we held dinner nights at Panda Express, and Red Robin that were very well attended. Again this year, we have a very strong volunteer core of parents who come to school each and every day to provide traffic patrol for the safety of our students and parents.
This year, one of our teachers provided Infinite Campus Training Night for our parents, to introduce them to Infinite Campus, log on, and navigate the website. We took part in a special Arbor Day ceremony provided by the City of Sparks, and guest speaker Mayor Geno Martini. We are fortunate to have a strong community involvement at Moss.
