Communication is one of the most important components in the continued success of students, teachers, and our school. We utilize several forms of communication at Nancy Gomes School. WCSD introduced the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in October which allows parents access to grades, attendance and school announcements through the internet. Our school prepares a newsletter six times a year highlighting upcoming events, celebrating student and staff success, and providing parenting tips. Students maintain a folder for weekly communication, and teachers send newsletters highlighting classroom events and activities. Parents are kept informed of school events through ConnectEd and the reader board. Back-to-school parent nights at the beginning of the year open the door for communication. The school calendar/handbook is sent home the first week of school. Parent teacher conferences are conducted in the fall, while individual conferences are held throughout the school year. Other activities such as our Academic Night, Night of the Arts, and music performances provide a venue for parents to become involved in the school lives of their children.
