Lloyd Diedrichsen Elementary utilizes several forms of written and oral communication. Written Communication includes our monthly newsletter, The Dolphin Digest. Our newsletter contains information about upcoming events, school highlights, and district dates. Grade level newsletters are sent home monthly and quarterly informing parents about classroom activities and what to expect in the coming weeks. Progress reports are sent home either weekly or quarterly with students. These written evaluations keep parents up-to-date on what students are studying and the level at which they are achieving their curriculum goals. Personal notes and telephone calls are used by teachers, counselor, and the principal to share information with parents about their children and the progress they are making. We also use the district communication systems, Connect Ed and Infinite Campus to inform parents of important school functions, student behavior or progress. We have a webpage that includes our monthly newsletter, parent resources, and an updated monthly calendar. Parent-teacher conferences are conducted in the fall while individual conferences are conducted throughout the school year.
