<"The school will implement family night at least once a year. Mothers are invited to have muffins at school with their children and pictures are taken. Fathers are invited to have donuts at school with their children and pictures are taken. An annual Fall Festival is planned for children and parents to join in fun activities. A Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is taking an active roll in organizing activities to involve families in educational decision-making for their students. Every teacher sends out a monthly newsletter, and Mileage Club parents are invited to walk with students at lunch to promote good health on a monthly basis. Parents visit classrooms to meet teachers and learn about school rules at the annual open house, and parent teacher conferences are held during the year. Parent volunteers work in the classrooms daily and an all school track and field day is held in the spring which encourages parent and community participation. Parents can communicate with all teachers using e-mail, several teachers offer communication through their website, and parents can access their child’s grades and school information through the school website.
