This year, parents continued to receive messages regarding important school activities through our automated system. This system includes both a phone call and an email in English and Spanish. Powerschool was used more successfully and in more detail to track student's growth and progress and continued support and training was provided to parents. Our counselors coordinated the first ever 6th grade student-led conferences in the district, where students were in control of informing and reporting their successes, goals, and work to their parents. Bi-monthly newsletters which highlighted successes and events continued to be sent home. An increase in parental involvement was established and parents banded together to support students and staff.
