Carson Middle School believes that parent communication is essential to student success. We communicate with our parents in both English and Spanish to ensure parents receive information. Our teaching staff posts assignments and grades via PowerSchool to communicate academic progress. Grades are available in real-time online and progress reports are sent home every nine weeks. Phone Messenger is utilized on a regular basis to inform parents of upcoming events, special bulletins, and student attendance. Our website has been updated this year in an effort to improve our communication with parents. Newsletters are sent to every family containing important school news and information. During both the annual open house night, teachers taught mini lessons and presented information on involving parents and guardians in the educational process. CMS hosted an annual Technology Night, Science Night, Veteran's Day Memorial, Career Day, and mock job interviews to involve our entire community. CMS will implement an annual student led parent conference day during the 2011-2012 school year. Our Parent Teacher Association(PTA) is very active in supporting our school and meets on a monthly basis.
