Mark Twain Elementary continues to choose school/home communication and collaboration as a high priority. We have a large number of parent volunteers and have 100% participation in our fall parent conferences. Evening programs, such as Family Math and Literacy nights, enable families to enjoy learning together. Principal's Coffee is an opportunity for parents to meet with school administrators informally to increase familiarity with school programs and staff. Our PTA membership has a strong representation of both parents and staff which allows for monthly exchanges of ideas. The Reflections arts program, Moms n' Muffins, Dads n' Donuts and educational assemblies are examples of PTA- sponsored events that serve to build a strong home-school connection. Our bilingual monthly school newsletter is a source of information for all of our Mark Twain families.
