J.G. Johnson offers a variety of services for parents, families, and the community. We maintain an open line of communication through Parent Nights, Open House, ConnectEdmated phone system, Parent Conferences, PowerSchool, Grandparents Day celebration, utilization of parent volunteers, and our Title 1 Parent Coordinator.
We offer a variety of Parent/Family Nights, as well as a Park and Parenting course, in order to build strength in our J.G. Johnson community. Open House and Parent Conferences allow parents an opportunity to meet with their students’ teachers to discuss classroom specific policies, happenings, and academic issues. Our Grandparent Forum provides grandparents strategies to encourage students’ academic and social success.
J.G. Johnson welcomes volunteers to our school. They are used in a variety of ways to support instruction, as well as the day-to-day happenings on campus and in the community.
The school provides notice to parents about important events via the media, mail, the monthly Parent Newsletter, email, Connect Ed, and the school, district and state website. PowerSchool also allows parents access to their students’ grades, attendance, and more via the Internet.
