FIS provides regular communication with parents by phone, email, and ConnectEd phone messages. FIS utilizes monthly Falcon newsletters sent home, monthly school calendars, progress reports every three weeks, weekly fliers sent home, Thursday Folders, student planners intended for daily communications, weekly newspapersubmissions and theFIS website. FIS hosts involvementactivities:Monthly Falcon Perch Cafe parents come have lunch. Annual Shadow Day parents attend school and shadow their child. Student of the Month, bullying prevention andi-net safety assemblies. Transition activities for our incoming fourth and outgoing sixthgradestudents.Fall and spring parent conferences. Winter and spring concerts hosted by our band, general music and clubs (guitar and choir) provide a venue to showcase student talents. Parent information nights such as meningitis awareness, pre-paid college tuition programs and beginning of the year parent forums which are hosted by the school or our active PTSA also drawstakeholders to our campus. Finally, youth sports teams, parentand church groups, scouts, and 4H. The Boys and Girls Club andRotary Backpack program are housed on our campus.
