A parent activity calendar is sent home early each school year for scheduling purposes. School activities are scheduled at various times to honor family commitments. Weekly PeeChees are sent home by each teacher to the families of their students. The PeeChee includes a weekly calendar and community flyers of upcoming events. Formal Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled twice a year. However, Sutro Elementary has an open door policy and parents are present on a regular basis. Parent meetings are held with teachers, counselor, and/or the school administration when requested. Our school counselor also represents Sutro at the Dayton Task Force. Communication through ConnectEd is used on a regular basis to relay important information, events, reminders and updates regarding school, district and community activities.Information regarding school activities is also provided on our school website. Parents are provided with a password to access their child's academic information through Power School. The Sutro Boosters meet and are involved in many activities for students throughout the year. Our Title I teacher facilitates monthly Parent Involvement Meetings. Our counselor and administrator also attend those meetings.
