At Yerington Elementary School we communicate with our parens and community members through many avenues. The school office sends home monthly folder notes to all parents. Communication with student's families also occurs through ConnectEd telephone messages in both English and Spanish. PowerSchool provides our parents with the ability to access their student's grades, attendance, disciplinary actions and missing assignments via the internet. Parents and students may also access information the school's website at www.yes.lyon.k12.nv.us. Teachers are required to contact parents a minimum of twice a year with "Good News" reports. Parent-teacher conferences are schedule twice a year. Parents are all encouraged to volunteer time in their child's class during the year. YES also has a School Improvement Plan with two subcommittees that explicitly foxus on communication via "Cub News" articles in our local paper and planning family night events.
