Parents and community are invited to monthly school improvement meetings that we are offering at various times, topics have included the grading policy, after school programs on early release Wednesday,interventions for students,courses and tutoring available for students who have not passed Proficiency tests,and how to increase parent involvement. We use a telephone system to notify parents, written communication is in Spanish and English, we publicize upcoming events and encourage parents to monitor their students academic progress. The Jr.High was able to meet with 94% of teir students’ parents and the High School 38% of their students’ parents. The 8th grade also met with parents to explain why we were separating students by gender.
