PWL places a priority on school parent communication, as we believe it’s essential to student achievement. We utilize several communication tools, both in English and Spanish, to ensure parents receive information about their child’s school. Our year starts with hosting a 7th Grade Parent Orientation and Back-to-School night for all our students and their parents. An annual parent-teacher conference day is scheduled and held at night to provide greater accessibility to parents. In addition to our on-campus events, the PWL website is kept up-to-date with school events and important information. The website also provides accessibility to teachers via email. PWL publishes a monthly newsletter to disseminate information. We ensure the newsletter is sent to parents prior to the start of the month. PWL utilizes our Auto-Dialer to phone parents with recorded messages about upcoming events. To communicate academic progress, grades are available online and progress reports are also sent home every 9 weeks.
