Piñon Hills Elementary School strongly supports communication between school and home. Communication between school and home has been accomplished through the regular use of school and classroom newsletters, school wide weekly student folders, and daily planners in grades 4-6. PHES holds an annual Back to School Night in August. Flexible scheduling is utilized for both annual and PEP parent conferences. The school web page and marquis are updated regularly. Parents are notified of special events with the Auto-Dialer system. Teachers regularly utilize email and phone calls to communicate with parents. Piñon Hills participates in a community partnership with Starbucks. School goals and achievement information are shared during monthly PTO meetings and in the monthly newsletter. Parents are invited to attend a monthly coffee connection hosted by the principal. Parent Accords are given to all parents. PHES promotes parent involvement throughout the school year by encouraging families to attend Family Fun Fitness Night, Science Fair Night, Family Literacy Night, Art Show, Music Concert, two evening Book Fairs, and our annual Ice Cream Social.
