South Continuation Junior/Senior High School faculty, staff and administration strive to maintain continuous, open communication with parents, families and community members to provide and maintain a learning environment that fosters academic and social success for every student. 100% of the parents and students attend our orientation scheduled at 7:00 am daily. The school's behavior guidelines, academic requirements and social expectations are reviewed. Parent questions are answered and concerns are addressed. After completion students are enrolled and attend their newly scheduled classes that day. Student attendance is monitored daily. If a student is not in their first period class the registrar personally calls home. ParentLink'smated dialer also calls home each afternoon reviewing the period attendance for the day. In addition, teachers update ParentLink weekly providing parents access to their students' grades and e-mail links to communicate directly with teachers. Grades are also sent home quarterly and as part of their progress reports. The progress report grades include their GPA as well as the grades required for release. This provides a good indicator as to the students' release prospects.
