The East Tech website offers updated information on upcoming activities, clubs, and programs. The website also includes links to the course catalog, the school newspaper, daily announcements, school schedules, as well as CCSD resources and information. In addition, many faculty members maintain class websites that provide classroom information to students and parents via the Internet. All students receive a student planner, which includes a student handbook and daily calendar, to be used as a tool for communication between school and home. ParentLink allows parents to access student schedules, grades, and attendance online. It is also used by the school to send recorded messages home via telephone calls and e-mails. All students are given InterAct e-mail accounts that provide both students and parents access to East Tech staff members. Parent Advisory/Coffee with the Counselors meetings, Freshmen Orientation, Open House, and Community Night offer venues for face-to-face discussions. Finally, the school has a community partnership coordinator who serves as a liaison between the school and business/community members.
