Parental engagement is essential to student success. At Moapa Valley Empowerment High School, we encourage parental participation. Parents and community members are involved in both academic and extracurricular activities. The high school athletic contests have among the highest attendance rates of any comprehensive high school in the district. They are truly family events with audience members ranging in age from newborns to ninety years of age. Parents serve on a number of committees at Moapa Valley Empowerment High School including: Parent Advisory Committee, School Improvement Planning Committee, School Empowerment Team, Technology Committee, and Attendance & Discipline Committee. The local Community Education Advisory Board meets every 6-8 weeks to address the educational issues facing all Moapa Valley schools. Our combined school website and online grading programs permit parents to review academic progress as well as information on athletics and activities. At Moapa Valley Empowerment High School we believe that parent and community involvement are essential to our ability to succeed as a school.
