At Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy, we communicate with our stakeholders in multiple ways to ensure that all pertinent information is transparent and readily available. Each month, a newsletter is created to showcase our student achievements, and each edition is posted to both the school website and Facebook account. In addition to the newsletter, ParentLink, monthly PAC meetings, and the implementation of our new Naviance system, has assisted with the dissemination of all relevant information. In our PAC meetings, both parents and students attend to receive information applicable to the student's educational growth. During these meetings, parents are able to share their thoughts, concerns, and recommendations to improve the overall quality of the school. ParentLink has been used as an excellent tool to expedite same-day information to families and community members via the phone, and has been a reliable means of communication for parents that are not able to be near a computer. The Naviance program is our latest addition to VTCTA's communication, and it is a comprehensive college planning tool which enables the staff, students, and parents to effectively track all components of the college application process.
