Basic High School keeps an updated website, whereby parents can gather important and timely information. For quarterly information, a newsletter is sent to parents directly. For day-to-day or changing information, ParentLink phone dialer keeps families aware of immediate needs. Parents can also follow the musings of the principal by logging into the Twitter account. When parents have academic concerns, they are able to submit a Counselor Request Form located on the website, which is immediately transmitted to the counselor. Finally, the principal conducts Monthly PAC meetings at the school where overall parent concerns are discussed at length. The electronic marquee keeps updated dates and functions visible to all who drive by. Various parent nights are conducted to provide overall information. For example, 8th grade Parent Night and AP/Honors Night both serve to inform parents of the programs provided by Basic High School.
