Las Vegas High School publishes a minimum of five parent newsletters each school year, including a senior newsletter. Parents have the opportunity to communicate directly with staff members through scheduled conferences, phone contact, or through ParentLink. The information on ParentLink is updated weekly and parents can get information regarding grades, assignments, and attendance. Furthermore, parents can access the school website that contains daily announcements, testing information, registration material/information, student activities, and sports information. Special mailings are prepared regarding registration, freshmen orientation activities, testing, and special events on campus. Moreover, the Parent Advisory Council meets monthly with the administration. Las Vegas High School partners with state colleges to provide college activities for parents and students. These include college fairs, parenting courses, and college entrance presentations. Las Vegas High School maintains an open door policy which encourages parents to visit classrooms and to assist in a variety of activities on campus.
