Communication
The ParentLink system, in addition to the school website, provides student information regarding grades, homework, teacher/parent conferences and current activities at school through the calling system. Teachers communicate with parents through student agendas, phone conferences, parent conferences, e-mail and their web pages. Math teachers provide lessons through pod-casts posted on their websites for student review and parent assistance. Monthly PAC meetings inform parents about curriculum, enrollment, activities, testing, behaviors, dress and school safety. Parent volunteers assist on the switchboard, field trips, registration, teacher recognition, new teacher activities, sporting events, dances, the library, curriculum committee, discipline committee, crisis committee, technology committee, catering and evacuation procedures. Special parenting classes are offered each year and special interactive evening events provide information on special education, curriculum, discipline, Internet/text bullying, harassment, literacy, gangs and awards. Parent volunteers answering phone calls provides a bond between school and parents. Special notices and seven newsletters are posted on the Cadwallader website.
