Miller MS considers continuous two-way communication an essential component of the partnership between school and home. Teachers utilize my.ccsd.net and edmodo.com websites to communicate lesson objectives, activities and assignments. Parents and students are encouraged to access the ParentLink Internet-based system to monitor grades, attendance data and receive messages from the school or CCSD. Students are provided with an agenda in which they record daily assignments for parents to check at home. Upon request, teachers will check student entries for accuracy. Five times a year, the school publishes and sends home via U.S. Mail, the Bob Miller Middle School Community Newsletter. In addition to holding numerous parent information nights on a variety of topics throughout the school year, the principal holds monthly parent information meetings at 1:30 PM through which information is disseminated and discussion is encouraged. The principal's parent information e-mail list maintains well-over 1,000 e-mail addresses to which informative e-mails are continually sent regarding events and items of interest to the school community.
