Through ParentLink, parents are informed daily of students' absences and provided weekly updates of students' grades and missing assignments. Ourdialer informs parents of upcoming activities and events at the school. In addition, we utilize social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to communicate with students and parents. Our monthly Parent Advisory Council meetings keep parents informed about school curriculum, upcoming activities, budget and finances, school improvement initiatives, and staffing. Parents are active decision-makers on our Empowerment and Learning Teams, providing input and direction for allocation of resources. Parent volunteers assist with the student store, fundraising, and other school functions. In addition, our web page allows parents to view upcoming events on the school calendar, current school information, and access key links. Students can report bullying online using our "report a bully" feature on our website. Parents are also kept informed through our school newsletter. A significant number of our parents attended events such as Open House, performing arts concerts, athletic events, Family Dinner Knights, awards nights, incoming sixth grade night, and other functions.
