Sandy Valley School starts the year with a Welcome Back BBQ for the community, parents, and students. We follow that with Open House for our parents. Parents receive a weekly "School News" voice-mail briefing them on upcoming academic activities, sporting events, and other after-school functions. We keep our parents in the information loop by producing five Parent Newsletters and posting them to the Sandy Valley School website. We keep parents apprised of their student's academic success with bi-monthly progress reports. Parents can access teacher grade books through the ParentLink portal. Parents and the community regularly attend; Parent Conferences, Fall Concert, Harvest Festival, Nevada Reading Week activities, Family Literacy Night, Spring Concert, Art & Ice Cream Social, K-12 Talent Show, 8th Grade Promotion, and Graduation. The administration has an open door policy and encourages parents to bring questions and concerns as necessary.
