Communication
Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)meetings are held on campus monthly. Parent participation at the PAC meetings continues to increase in attendance. Parents have access to students' grades, attendance and assignments via a computer-based program called ParentLink. Progress reports are sent home on a quarterly basis. Quarterly newsletters are made available so that parents can be informed about upcoming events, parent rights and summaries of recent events taking place on the school campus. Parents are encouraged to visit classrooms in order to gain a better understanding of classroom enrichment activities. Each student is provided with an agenda where he/she can write all assignments, and parents are able to write and receive notes to and from the teachers in order to track progress. The nationally recognized Family Writing Project holds regular meetings where families and teachers meet to write and share about their lives. Family Fitness nights are held where family and teachers can learn and participate in health related activities. Campus Clean-Ups are held to help create a cleaner campus and community.
