Hyde Park Middle School strives to provide for active communication with parents, families, and the community. Hyde Park hosts an Open House night early in the school year which allows parents to tour the campus and receive class overviews from the teachers. Parents are encouraged to attend the monthly Parent Advisory Council meetings with the principal. Parents are encouraged to participate in the PTSA, Watch D.O.G.S., and parenting classes held on campus. The school maintains an Internet website that contains an updated newsletter, teacher contact information, and a message board that posts information on school events. Additionally, teachers and staff upload grades and attendance data weekly to the school's ParentLink site. Hyde Park parents are members of the Superintendent's Schools Parent Advisory Council. The school administration communicates regularly with the Hyde Park school community through letters, flyers, phone calls, parent-teacher conferences, e-mails, and other methods as necessary.
