Sandy Valley ES provides different parent-school communication pathways. Parents are provided with a printed Progress Report every two weeks. Teachers enter assignments and grades on the ParentLink website, which is updated twice per week. Parents and students are made aware of upcoming events through the use of three different sign locations in the community. Parents and the community are kept aware by the posting of flyers at key locations throughout the community. Sandy Valley ES sends a recorded voice-mail message to each parent every week letting them know what is happening at school. Parents, teachers, and students meet for conferences to discuss academic progress and behavioral decision-making. A "Welcome Back BBQ", Open House, concerts, Talent Show, Art & Ice Cream Social, Harvest Carnival, and Santa's Workshop are all venues parents can use to communicate directly with staff and administration.
