Elise L. Wolff Elementary School conducted Open House at the beginning of the school year for all students. Administration and classroom teachers provided monthly newsletters to all parents and/or guardians. Classroom teachers also provided student progress reports every three weeks. In addition to the required Parent-Student-Teacher Academic Planning Time conferences, parents participated in face-to-face and/or telephone conferences on an as-needed basis. Parents utilized voice mail and e-mail services and personal teacher websites daily. The ParentLink system was used to communicate reminders and upcoming events on an as-needed basis. Parents participated in required school-wide committees, such as Safety and Security and School Generated Funds. On a regular basis, parents volunteered in classrooms and assisted teachers with special events, worked with individual or group activities, organized classroom materials and attended class field trips. Parents served as proctors for mandated state testing.
