At Reynaldo Martinez Elementary, we are committed to building effective collaboration between school and home. Parent newsletters are distributed to parents in both English and Spanish. Important messages, reminders and invitations regarding Martinez Elementary School are sent via ParentLink and in take-home messages sent with students. Parent-student-Teacher Time and bi-monthly progress reports provide opportunities to support student's academic growth through sharing information and engaging in discussions to create a focus on achievement and removing barriers to learning. Students and parents are encouraged to participate in family academic activities and extracurricular activities such as literacy and science nights, Career Day, school carnival, field trips, parenting classes and classroom participation. Martinez is committed to providing educational opportunities for parents that will support active involvement in the school and in the classroom with a focus on supporting students' academic achievement.
