Communication
At Nate Mack Elementary School, we communicate regularly with families to ensure students reach their highest potential, academically, and socially. Parents participate in teacher conferences to review assessments, academic progress, and behavior. A weekly Parent bulletin informs families of school-wide activities and programs. These bulletins invite parents to contact staff members with questions, ideas, and feedback. Parents use the online ParentLink system to review class assignments, grades, and attendance, and contact staff by e-mail 24 hours a day. Frequentmated voice messages are sent to families as reminders of special events, deadlines, and important school and district news. Teachers send home classroom newsletters and maintain class websites and blogs on myccsd.net. The school website provides school information, parent resources, and links to additional educational websites, including Accelerated Reader. Families are invited to evening academic events and performances such as literacy, math and science nights, winter concerts, and school musical reviews. Volunteers serve as safety monitors, tutors, and classroom helpers. Our PTA provides resources, activities, and support to the students, staff, and community.
