Parents and teachers interact frequently regarding academic and social progress. Parents are informed of planned activities through ParentLink. Through the Family Center and Family Nights, opportunities are provided to make materials to assist their children in developing academic skills and self-discipline. Parents are invited to student plays/skits in classrooms, outdoor opening ceremony presentations, winter and spring concerts, and DARE graduation. Spanish interpreters are employed at all parent events. Courteous, cordial, and bilingual office staff welcomes and assists visitors. Newsletters include information on curriculum, staff members, schedules, upcoming events, and testing. The Parent Advisory Committee meets monthly. The Family Center provides classes in Literacy in the Home, Parenting, and Nutrition & Exercise. Our family liaison provides additional support to our students.
