Personal phone calls from the principal to the parents using ParentLink was the parents' favorite means of communication. Written communication with parents and students included newsletters with a school calendar; school-wide events; flyers to announce special events and safety notices; tips for parents to promote reading, math, writing and science achievement; individual classroom newsletters and the school website. School-wide events were also communicated through the Frias PTA. The PTA sponsored family and community involvement, which included 1st day of school kindergarten parent support, Open House ice cream social, Dads & Donuts, Moms & Muffins, Movie Night, Bingo Night, Ornament Night, Reflections, Spring Carnival and box tops drive . Parents were invited to attend three trimester award ceremonies, Falcon of the Week, Science Fair, Multicultural Festival, winter & spring choir and play performances, kindergarten promotion, fifth grade D.A.R.E. graduation and fifth grade promotion.
