The teaching staff at Bilbray Elementary communicates on a regular basis regarding student performance and achievement. A weekly communicator is sent home which provides two-way communication for all grade levels. Fourth and fifth grade students utilize daily planners to assist with organization and daily parent contact. The district system, ParentLink, allows parents to receive school-wide phone messages and monitor their child's grades. Our school phone system and school website provide means for direct teacher contact through voice mails or e-mail. Our website and monthly newsletters are updated and distributed frequently to keep parents aware of school events and units of study. Our school has an active Parent Teacher Association that solicits ideas and input from the parent community. A marquee is displayed in front of the school advertising upcoming events. Parents are invited to serve on various school committees and provide input on a variety of topics. Various curricular parent trainings are offered throughout the year, such as Math and Literacy Night. Parents are invited to participate in many school functions including the Fall Festival, Spring Carnival, and Field Day.
