C.T. Sewell Empowerment School values students, parents, staff, and community members! Check out our website at http://ccsd.net/schools/sewell/. Parents 4 Students meetings are held every month to discuss school goals, progress toward goals, and gather input from parents. Along with the district's online surveys, Sewell surveys are distributed each trimester to improve school climate and parent participation. Newsletters are sent to families on a monthly basis and parents are invited to share ideas, thoughts, compliments, or concerns. Parent comment forms are also available in the front office. Utilizing ParentLink, we communicate upcoming events and student progress. Events include: Back-to-School Night, Health and Wellness Fair, Breakfast Bookworm, NV Reading Week, Pancakes with the Principal, Kids-to-Kids, Literacy Nights, Super Citizen, and Star Award assemblies. Parent/student/teacher conferences provide valuable information related to highlighting student strengths and developing a plan to increase student academic achievement. We emulate a CULTURE OF CARE.
