It is the belief of the McCaw staff that communication with families is essential to the complete education of students. A school-wide monthly newsletter, classroom newsletters, regular progress reports, and the PTA newsletter are used to keep families informed about school activities and the progress of their children. Parent-student-teacher planning conferences focused on the academic and social progress of students are scheduled not only in December, but throughout the year. Additionally, the PTA and school co-host a beginning of the year Family Orientation, Donuts with Dads, Muffins with Moms, Grandparents Day celebrations, monthly Family Power Nights, a Fine Arts Night, and CRT Camp Saturday Strategy sessions. Each of these events is intended to prosper parent-school communication.
