Newsletters contain information about student achievement, school activities, & grade level news. Parents are provided bi-monthly information regarding student progress, behavior, & assessment results. Parent opportunities are available, such as classroom volunteers, Site Council, monthly Family Nights, Honor Roll assemblies, field trips, Pre-Open House & Open House, monthly "2nd Cup of Coffee" meetings, monthly PTO Committee Meetings, & monthly Parent Education events. Parents are always encouraged to visit the school, to conference with teachers, & to attend daily morning ceremonies. Teachers are also expected to establish and maintain frequent, consistent, & meaningful contacts with the families of their students. Parent involvement is encouraged for the Annual Harvest Festival, District Parent Advisory Council, monthly "2nd Cup of Coffee" meetings, and the Area 2 Parents as Academic Leaders (PAALS) meetings. The Title 1 Parent Center provides families with activities, trainings, parenting classes, & educational resources. Our Title 1 Pre-K program requires parents to volunteer in the classroom two times a month & to attend monthly parent trainings. ParentLink information is provided as necessary & teachers post grades weekly.
