Parents have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with their child's teacher quarterly to discuss their child's progress, strengths, and concerns, and how to become more of a partner with the school. Newsletters are distributed; folders are sent home every Monday with school information; and a website is provided with the ability to contact the teachers through e-mail (schools.ccsd.net/lincoln/). Parent forums are held, focusing on the curriculum to track student progress and discuss community concerns. We also utilize CCSD's ParentLink to inform parents of activities and changes in our daily schedule. All teachers have telephones with voice-mail so that parents have direct access to teachers. We have monthly family nights where families enjoy a fun-filled night based on our curriculum which allows interaction with teachers, staff, and administration. Our parents participate in the Harris Survey in which the results are shared and utilized to improve the school in every area. Our P.A.L.S. (Parents of Lincoln School) has been created this year with all of our communication with the parents and community provided in English and Spanish.
