McWilliams Elementary School ensures that all information, through ParentLink and in written form, related to school events and parent programs will be sent to parents in English and Spanish. Monthly newsletters, office memorandums, classroom flyers, ParentLink phone messages, and pertinent school information are sent in both English and Spanish. Teachers communicate regularly with parents on student progress and achievement through progress reports. Parents and the community are invited to attend countless school functions including, but not limited to, winter and spring musical performances, Family Literacy and Family Math Nights, Open House, Kindergarten Round-Up, early childhood and pre-school activities, field day, and parent/teacher conferences. Parents also volunteer to be on the following committees: School Crisis Team, School Support Team, School Restructuring Team, School Library Committee, CCSD Parent Advisory Board, and Area 4 Education Advisory Board. Parents are always encouraged to stop by our office, call, or complete a Parent Concern Form if they have any questions or concerns. Consistent two-way communication between McWilliams Elementary and home is not only encouraged but expected.
