Thompson Elementary School continues to foster regular and meaningful communication between the school and its families. Parents utilize ParentLink, an online resource that allows parents real time access to information about their child's progress. Progress reports are sent home biweekly and include relevant information on each child's academic and social progress. Thompson's website continues to be a valuable resource for students, parents, and staff, providing information on upcoming events, detailing the school and district policies, and providing a way for families to communicate with teachers via e-mail. Thompson conducts several school-community events throughout the year, often in collaboration with our school's PTA. Events such as Open House, Portfolio Night, Walk-a-Thon, and Spring Carnival are well attended and help enhance school-family partnerships and collaboration. Teachers conduct parent conferences to update parents on student progress. Thompson has an active PTA whose outstanding efforts continue to support the school's vision. Administration and staff have an open door policy and pride themselves on providing an unparalleled level of customer service where everyone feels valued, welcomed, and respected.
