Parents having an active role in their children's school is a hallmark of the philosophy at Aldeane Ries Elementary School. Parents are encouraged to become involved, to the maximum extent possible, in their child's education. Daily, parents can be seen working throughout the building: reading with students, creating bulletin boards, helping with extracurricular activities, assisting with reading assessments, and helping with supervision in the cafeteria and playground. The administration prides itself on being available to students as well as their families and seeks to establish positive, meaningful relationships with the community. Our core belief is that the elementary school environment should be a safe and fun environment that permeates every aspect of our instructional program. Parents are notified of school events via school newsletters and ParentLink notifications. They are encouraged to find out about our school by being present on campus and taking an active role in making our school a wonderful place for kids.
