The Chameleon Chronicle newsletter is sent home bi-monthly in English and Spanish and contains news from the administration, classrooms, special programs, and educational articles. It highlights academic achievement of students, monthly activities, and gives parents a calendar of events to encourage their attendance at events related to academics, parent education, and celebrations of their children. Approximately 84% of families attended Open House and 98% attended winter Structured Teacher-Parent-Student Academic Planning Time. Our school has approximately 90 parent volunteers who provide tutoring assistance to teachers in theclassroom, act as chaperones on field trips, maintain expectations for student behavior at dismissal, serve as Title I liaisons, volunteer on school planning committees, and assist with the Jog and Walk Society.
