Communication

Dean Allen administration sends out newsletters on a regular basis with pertinent information for all members of our community. In addition, Dean Allen Elementary School has utilized the ParentLink communication system which has greatly increased effective and timely communications with our parents and families. ParentLink phone calls and e-mails are sent home several times weekly to keep parents informed of important events and school activities. Our school website provides current information regarding staff, programs, and priorities. Several classroom teachers have their own classroom website and use e-mail to communicate regularly with parents. All teachers utilize classroom newsletters, phone calls, conferences, written communication, and progress reports to communicate with parents. Parents and community members volunteer hundreds of hours of service each month assisting teachers and students in the classrooms. Furthermore, administration offers an open door policy to discuss questions and concerns. Parents are encouraged to participate in PTO-sponsored events and special activities at the school to support the educational process.
