Bruner has encouraged families to take an active role in their children's education. The school has communicated with families during the school year with bi-monthly academic progress reports, newsletters, ParentLink, parent-teacher conferences, school website, and notes. Many opportunities have been provided, such as family nights, field day activities, performances, field trips, Reading Week activities, and assemblies. The school provided additional family time with a spaghetti dinner. Bruner has worked with the PTA to provide "Donuts for Dad" and "Muffins for Mom."
